Being Free, A Fireplace And Fantastic People

Trying to let go of those things that weigh us down has been like dealing with the ebb and tide of the ocean. We want to hand over  all that hinders us but we often keep finding ourselves wanting to look back and cling to the unnecessary things of our past.
All in all, Florida has been an amazing adventure for us and our marriage. We've had no regrets letting go of the cumbersome aspects and moving forward with our lives. This part of our journey measures right up there with our backpacking trip through Europe years ago while being several months pregnant.
Those nights that we camped in Germany is comparable to sleeping in a house that's being renovated.
Italy's historical sites left us in a state of wonderment.
The Sistine Chapel's handiwork created by Michelangelo is stunning.
But this Florida view, and the hands that created these magnificent waters is truly awesome. Letting go of what we thought was our treasured things has been met with a lot of emotion and yet so much joy.
We do continue to move forward; finding just the right things for our fixer upper. Our criteria now is not shooting for the fancy things in life. Our goal is to have only what is useful and serves a purpose. After weeks of looking for the right fireplace...
This is just the ticket for the wall with my abstract mural. Nothing keeps the home fires burning like an electric fireplace.

Florida has become our home, the weather is great, there's so much to do here and there are so many fascinating people. Who is that mystery fascinating person that I mentioned in a previous post? Mi Miguel's mother. My mother-in-law came here in the 60's. She is my first Floridian to recognize because of the hard work she puts into everything she does. Thank you for helping us out with our lawn.

Every time I meet someone new, I walk away with a message, I continue my journey and never look back.
