Fishing With A Turtle In A Half Shell

Ahhhh, three days of rest and relaxation and coffee, of course.
Over the weekend we stopped working on the house and decided to enjoy our backyard and dock for the first time.

Mi Miguel baited my hook and we were set to go.
Not being much of one to sit still and since I didn't catch a fish within the first five minutes of sitting there...
I became completely distracted with this little guy.
He was hot after the bait not realizing there is a hook through it.
He was fearless as he kept trying to get the food at all cost.
He circled around to try a different approach but I kept the hook away from him. He wouldn't let me fish so we eventually just tossed him the bait.

Labor Day 2015
Below are photos taken at the beach in Florida. They are shown newest first. As you can see the more the sun went down the more chaotic it became. It's raining in the distance which gives the sky the appearance of a fire. We saw three pelicans riding the waves and a lonely egret that let me get a little too close ruffling his feathers at me though.
This is just before we left the beach. I wanted to get the sun at the precise moment that it disappeared. But, lightning was getting a little too close.
The difference that just a few minutes can make when the sun is going down. This was taken just a two minutes before the one above it.
Some orange is starting to fill the sky. The water and sky were in all it's glory. Look at the sea billows roll.
Sun rays shining through as the sun continues to drop.
The clouds are giving way to the sun and its grand rays.
Every shade of orange and yellow is starting to appear.
This is right after the sun fell behind the clouds and just before the amazing orange colors appeared.
The sun poking through the clouds. We had no idea that the clouds, ocean were getting ready to perform a beautiful silent symphony.

The sun poking through the clouds and then it fell closer to the horizon in the photo above this one.
Just a hint of sunshine and the sky is still pretty blue. This is when we first arrived at the beach.
And then here he is done with the photo session.
I got too close and he ruffled his feathers at me.

I'm not sure what it is, egret or crane. But, he let me get really close.
Heavy rains in the distnace, the sky is brewing up a spectacular brew as we approach the crane/egret.
The pelicans finished fishing and took off.
This was our first view when we arrived at the beach. Three pelicans riding the waves.

Back To Work Now
I'm losing my inspiration with the colors I chose for GB #1. I like the blues, but the reds and greens aren't flowing well with the room. The colors alone are coming across as too feminine. We are trying to avoid that with our house. So, I'm going to take my blue color chips and see what other colors I can go with to get the calm effect rather than a fun whimsical look. I'm off to go find my muse, my inspiration, my color chips.
