There are lots of them here in Florida. In the last six weeks, I've only been bitten one time by a mosquito. But, I don't really sit outside much at dusk. If I go outside after sundown, I stay in constant motion, much like a human air dancer. Mosquitoes hate that.
There are various jokes circulating about mosquitoes here in Florida.
Some say that the mosquitoes are so big that they had to put up mosquito crossing signs much like the deer crossing signs up north.
Others say that the mosquito is the national bird of Florida. Honestly, they haven't been a problem for us so far, providing we stay in constant motion when outdoors from dusk till dawn.
Yes, that's me again wiggling and fanning away the mosquitoes. It works I'm telling ya. Mosquitoes hate it worse than any over the counter spray.
Mosquitoes aren't as big a nuisance like they used to be because Florida introduced them to the love bug. Apparently, love bugs devour mosquitoes. But then with every solution in life there seems to be a new problem.
I don't know whose vehicle this is but you can see that the love bugs eventually became a problem. I can handle mosquitoes and love bugs. But I cannot handle...
the cockroach. This little critter in my home is a deal breaker for me living in Florida. They are nasty and people go to great lengths to get rid of this and...
the destructive rarely seen termite. They can devour your house before you even know you are infested with them. If you're ever in Florida and see this...
Not every bug is a bad bug. We plan to have a small garden when we get a home. In order to grow our own food these little buggers are a must for any garden.
There really hasn't been a single bug that has made me jump so far. The only thing that gets a rise out of me are the rapidly running lizards. They make me jump every time one crosses my path.
We may only have about twenty four hours more to wait. I'm pretty excited and hope to have a place to call our own real soon. Until then...
I will continue to drum my fingers on any hard surface as I sit patiently and wait. Good things come to those who wait...right?
Thank you for sharing...

What's MOST problematic here is BEDBUGS AND LICE BUGS EWWW BUT TRUTH BE TOLD! My daughter just moved to Orlando fl thinking it's beautiful etc and the grass was greener on the other side well literally yes but figuratively NOPE! HER 1ST 10 mins in her new house cockroach cocktails anyone? They were everywhere...how she missed spotting them before move in was beyond me! FOCUSED MOST ON THE ASTHETICS PROVED TO BE A LESSON LEARNED!THE EXTERMINATOR SAID " YOU SHOULD HAVE BEEN MORE WHERE THOSE BUGS ARE MOST PREVALENT " THAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN THE 1ST THING TO LOOK FOR WHEN VIEWING A PROSPECTIVE PLACE TO LIVE ESP BEFORE YOU EVEN BEGIN TO SEE ANYTHING ELSE...FOE ME IT'S A DEAL BREAKER,therefore I ALWAYS CLOSELY INSPECT ANY PROSPECTIVE PLACE!!!!
